About
Who is Malissa…
She is a creative junkie, chicken herder and lover of ideas.
My true nature is to create in the Arts. I love ceramics, drawing and painting along with so many other forms of Art. I appreciate music and how it can calm, energize and take you back in time.
Chickens, dogs and snakes…oh my! I never saw myself as an animal lover, but my family is. At one point we were called the neighborhood zoo. My son Kaden has a way with animals. He was learning about snakes and tried breeding. He amazed me with his knowledge. We had a gecko, cat, two dogs, chickens, fish, ferret, and more. If there was ever a lost animal in the neighborhood everyone would bring it to our house because they knew we would take it in until the owner was found. We are past that now. Thank goodness. We only have two dogs, a cat and 12 chickens.
My biggest passion is entrepreneurship. I have ideas! So many I have to constantly refocus. I was blessed with an amazing Dad who always worked for himself. This is good and bad. His example taught me to go for the dream. I watched him provided for the family with his ideas. I also watched him not provide for the family because of his ideas. My mom is an incredible saver. She taught me how to live on less and make things last. I learned to cook from scratch, have a garden and preserve what we were given. Oh by the way, I love to cook.
My focus is to better peoples lives in health, education and industriousness. I was blessed with so many wonderful mentors that shaped my life that I want a place to share and record these lessons. I hope to build a community that supports each other as this life tumbles us around. We have one life to live and let’s live it to our full potential.
Happy Tumbling.
